Our organization was established in 1983 in Halifax and moved to London in 1985. Our goal is to keep business women connected with each other, and to provide a forum where businesses and organizations may share information with women in the community who will benefit from their products, services, and information.

The following are services we provide to the working women in our community:

The Women’s Business Directory – an annual publication for business, professional & corporate women. It contains biographies and articles, travel pages, business cards, listings of women in the community, and advertising space for those companies with a message, service, or product for working women.

The Women’s Business Conferences – bi-annual events in the spring and fall. The Conferences are day events, dynamic and exciting, to educate, motivate and inspire working women. Conferences sell out each time and are advertised via email and fax only. The next conference will be on November 3, 2006. We will celebrate the successes of local women and hear about how they accomplished it. For more information, contact us at diannvail@rogers.com.

The Fairy Godmother Projects – Women from the conference volunteer to take a small amount of money given out by the conference, and use the funds to do something creative and wonderful in the community. To date we have given out $8700 (in $100 increments) used for 65 projects, which were begun in the fall of 2003. Originally the idea came from an Oprah show. We are presently compiling a book of stories and pictures of the events, and will send it to Oprah.

The Travel Pages – these are published in the Business Directory and are compiled to give busy working women easy access to hotels and transportation in Canada.
